Speedbumps in Life…….

There are  few people who escape this life without some kind of event that will either humble or tumble them in an undesired direction. What do we do when a broken heart, the loss of a loved one or a sudden tragedy takes place? Are we ever prepared for any of them? Most of us are not, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t survive them all and become stronger more loving  and compassionate people.

Our world has become so highly technical, and we are conquering the amazing new frontiers with so much knowledge and information that it almost boggles the mind. It is as if God is literally reaching down and opening the pages of a book that has all the scientific mathematical answers to everything. We are on the crest of a new kind of virtual reality where one could sit for hours and never say a word to another human and still be completely entertained and amused. However, we haven’t mastered the art trying to figure out how to keep the human soul free of suffering and longing. That is because it is not possible. Man has invented all the toys that keep us entertained, but man has not invented the soul. Without man our toys and technical knowledge would still be in the dinosaur ages, but even then man had to search and discover his purpose for life on earth. Only a desire to be enlightened will lead to the path of soulfulness.

It is my desire in my future blogs to address the issues that we all experience at one time or another. We are not alone, ever, there is always someone else who probably understands how we feel because he or she has been there.

We are all under construction  while on this earth, and we all started like a chunk of coal. Keep in mind that many believe a diamond was once coal.  If we long for a life free of trials or worries, it is good to remember that Oaks grow strong to withstand the winds, and diamonds are made by withstanding many years of pressure.  As Daniel Defoe once wrote: “The soul is placed in the body like a rough diamond, and must be polished, or the luster of it will never appear.”
